The first competitive sports prediction gaming platform. Users compete 1v1 in peer-to-peer battles — no house edge, no playing against the operator.
Users make sports predictions and are automatically matched with an opponent. The user who scores more points wins the pot. BattlePicks facilitates the match and takes a 5% rake — we never play against our users.
User selects their entry amount and currency. Available currencies depend on state of residence.
User selects a sports prediction — game outcomes (sweepstakes) or player props (DFS). Riskier picks earn more points.
System automatically matches with another user at the same entry level with a different prediction. No opponent selection — fully random.
Games finish, picks are scored by risk-based points. Higher total points wins. Winner receives the pot minus 5% platform rake.
BattlePicks operates under two distinct legal models with state-level availability controls. A free-play mode is available in all states.
Dual-currency sweepstakes model. Users purchase BATTLECOINS (non-redeemable virtual currency) and receive BATTLECASH (redeemable for cash prizes) as a free promotional bonus. BATTLECASH is also available through free Alternative Method of Entry (daily login bonus + mail-in request).
Skill-based DFS pick'em contest model. Users enter with real USD and compete by predicting individual player statistical performances. Minimum 2 picks from 2 different teams. Classified as a game of skill under UIGEA and state DFS laws.
Points are determined by the payout multiplier of each pick. Riskier predictions earn more points if correct. This creates a strategic layer — users balance risk and reward to outscore their opponent.
Both users' picks hit, but User A's riskier pick earns more points.
Favorites (-150 to -250) earn fewer points (1.4 – 1.7) but are more likely to hit.
Underdogs (+150 to +500) earn more points (2.5 – 6.0) but are less likely to hit.
No Nash equilibrium — the optimal strategy constantly evolves. Users balance risk vs. reward to outscore opponents.
BattlePicks is a neutral facilitator. All prize money comes from user entries, not the platform. The platform's only revenue is the 5% rake on completed matches.
